We here at Kerry Cliffs are situated in one of the most spectacular places in the world which is South Kerry. The cliffs are located just a short distance from the beautiful fishing village of Portmagee. Portmagee was voted the top tourist town destination of Ireland in 2012 to underpin the charms of this unique location. Portmagee itself is a hive of activity as it is the gateway to that amazing and mystical site of the great Skellig Michael.
Portmagee offers you the holiday maker loads and loads to do see and enjoy. We have two fantastic traditional pubs with live traditional Irish music nightly. We also have a highly recommended restaurant with excellent food in both pubs and we have great little cafes including our own here at the Cliffs.
Caherciveen
Caherciveen is a the capital of south kerry and located between the Beenetee Mountain and the Fertha River. Cahersiveen itself has loads of little pubs and cafes and some great restaurants. Of course if you are around here on the august weekend the Celtic Music festival is a must. Caherciveen itself has many walking loops on the Mountain of Beenetee. Also there are many beautiful beaches close by and the famous Ballycarberry Castle and ring forts. There is no denying if visiting Caherciveen one has to do the ancient pilgrimage trail of Cnoic na dtobair. So here we see they is much to do between Valentia and Caherciveen
